Frosted glass, namely ground glass or acid etched glass, is made with standard flat glass, by mechanical sand blast, hand lapping, or hydrofluoric acid corrosion on the surface of glass. Due to the rough surface, the light has diffuse reflection, transmitting but cannot see through. It makes the light indoor soft but not dazzling. It is usually used for bathroom, toilet, office, etc. The rough surface should be outside in application.
